Winery WALDBERG s.r.o.

The winery takes its name from one of the important vineyard routes in the Znojmo region. It manages six of its own vineyards in a sustainable system of integrated production, located south of Znojmo in the vicinity of the wine-growing villages of Vrbovec, Dyjákovičky and Chvalovice. In addition to the aforementioned Waldberg vineyard, these include the U St. Urbana, U Sklepů, Dívčí hora, Dolina and Šác sites.

The main face of the winery is the young and dynamic oenologist Ing. Lenka Havelková, who makes sure to preserve the regional face of the wines, but at the same time would like to give them a more modern style and a more robust character.

She chooses only well-ripened grapes for processing, and tries to interfere as little as possible in the fermentation of the must, ageing and aging of the wines. In addition to stainless steel tanks, she also uses concrete ones, and wooden barrels are an integral part of her wine training work.
