The SPIELBERG winery can be found in the beautiful Moravian Slovácko region in South Moravia near the town of Slavkov, famous for the historic Battle of the Three Emperors in 1805, in which the French Emperor Napoleon defeated the armies of the Austrian Emperor and the Russian Tsar. It is a specific small wine-growing region with a tradition of grape-growing since the 12th century. The vineyards are situated on the southern slopes of the mild, continuous Ždánický Forest, which provides natural protection for the vineyards and creates a favourable microclimate.

A team of experienced vineyard managers takes care of the wines harvested in their own vineyards of almost 62 hectares. Thanks to the gentle and ecological cultivation of the vines, characterful, appellation wines are produced here, especially for gastronomy and private clients. The sandstone skeleton with a higher content of limestone in the soil gives the local white wines a characteristic fruity-floral bouquet and a taste of minerality. The local terroir is best expressed in the Riesling, Riesling Walnut, Pinot Blanc and Pinot Gris varieties. The wines are floral rather than fruity in flavour and the elegant aromas are accompanied by exceptional mineral notes. For red varieties such as Pinot Noir, Frankincense, Cabernet Cortis and Zweigeltrebe, exposure of the vineyards to full sun is important. The grapes produce earthy, mineral red wines with a wide range of berry aromas. The wines are trained in French barrels from the best French barrel makers.
The quality of SPIELBERG wines is evidenced by more than 150 medals from major international competitions, such as the prestigious DECANTER World Wine Awards, AWC Vienna, San Francisco International Wine Competition, Vinalies International Paris, MUNDUS vini and many others. In 2017, SPIELBERG Winery was awarded the prestigious title of Winemaker of the Year.
The winery offers white, red and rosé wines suitable especially for gastronomy. You can also taste exceptional sparkling wines produced by the classic method of fermentation in the bottle, organic wines.
