The company ZEMAX Šitbořice a.s., which owns the MARYŠA STORE, was established in 1997, when the classic agricultural enterprise was transformed into three joint-stock companies of the holding type. The MARYŠA STORE bears the name of the drama by the Mrštík brothers and is located in the village of Šitbořice between the villages of Diváky (the Mrštíks' residence) and Těšany (where this story comes from). The aim of our company is to combine traditional production methods with modern technology and knowledge to produce wines typical of the Velka Pavlovice wine sub-region, but at the same time original wines with an impression that is unforgettable.
It is said that Pinot Noir came to us in the 14th century during the reign of Charles IV. However, the authenticity of this information has never been proven. In our country, it is grown in all wine-growing subregions, the most widespread is in the Velkopavlovice and Mikulov regions. Pinot Noir from the vicinity of Mělník, Litoměřice, in Moravia from the Bzenecko and Mutěnice regions are excellent.
