Nominational wine competition

The National Wine Competition is the largest official wine competition in the Czech Republic and serves as a clear and unquestionable guarantee of the exceptional quality of the winning wines. Thanks to the multi-round evaluation, the completely unique system of the National Wine Competition gradually highlights the best wines in the categories of white dry and semi-dry wines, white semi-sweet wines, sweet wines, rosé wines, red dry and semi-dry wines, red semi-sweet wines and sparkling wines.

The participants in the 1st round of the National Wine Competition will therefore be assembled from the individual nomination rounds of all four sub-regions in Moravia and the Bohemia region.

The national wine competition consists of three stages. The basic rounds take place in individual wine-growing sub-regions and their purpose is to nominate successful wines for the 1st national round of the competition.

The participants in the 1st round of the National Wine Competition will therefore be assembled from the individual nomination rounds of all four sub-regions in Moravia and the Bohemia region. These wines will be evaluated at the end of November and December and 200 wines will advance to the second final round. The second round will take place in mid-January and will decide on the winner (Champion) of the entire competition, the winners of individual categories and the composition of the Czech Wine Salon.
