The tradition of grape growing in Velké Pavlovice is more than 767 years old. The wine-growing community, known especially for its distinctive red varieties, also hides great white wines in its vineyards. In 2019 seven co-operating wineries decided to use the appellation system to determine the most typical ones. Only single-varietal white, rosé and red wines may be produced from selected varieties of Neuburger, Veltliner Green, Gewürtztraminer, André, Blaufränkisch and Pinot Noir.
