Regularly on the third Saturday in January, the winemakers of Nový Šaldorf open their wine cellars for tasting Šaldorf wines. At the same time, we run a unique voluntary sand digging competition for teams to show people the incredible hard work it took to dig the large Chaldorf cellars in the hard marine sandstone. The record so far is 425 kg of sand dug and removed in 15 minutes!
You can look forward not only to great fun, but also to lots of local wines, mulled wine and cold and hot food. The wine cellars are open from 10am to 6pm.
