The Královopol Wine Festival is a cultural and social event organized in the spirit of the historical traditions of Královo Pole, with reference to the period of the significant rise of Královo Pole related to the founding of the Carthusian monastery in the second half of the 14th century and to commemorate its founder, Jan Henry of Luxembourg, a Moravian margrave who also contributed significantly to the development of viticulture in Moravia. These traditions are also the basis for the event's focus on the presentation of various products, especially bourbons and Moravian wines from the wine-growing sub-regions of the Morava wine region. During the festival, a series of joint tastings are held, which are free of charge for visitors to the event. There are many beautiful and valuable prizes to be won in competitions, and visitors over 18 years of age can also win participation in the Friday or Saturday champagne sabrage.
