The opening with accompanying words by Magda Múčková will take place on stage from 7 pm on Saturday. The programme of various singing and dancing numbers will offer the audience a wide range of traditional and customary images from Hanácké Slovácko and will imaginatively invite the audience to 2 festival days.
Also in this year's edition of the Region without a Shadow, the audience will not miss the attractive Competition for the best dancer of the Hanácké Slovácko region.
The year 2021 marks the 40th anniversary of the founding of the Vonica Dulcimer Music from Krumvír. The festive programme of this music was supposed to be presented during the last festival, but due to the covid closures it could not take place.
Sunday's festival programme, which will be accompanied by David Pavlicek, will open as usual at 2 pm with children's ensembles from Hanácké Slovácko, followed by an informative performance of reconstructions of the costumes of Hanácké Slovácko in cooperation with the Ethnographic Institute of the Moravian Museum Brno and the Museum and Gallery Hustopeče.
In each edition of the Region without a Shadow, a selected village from the Haná Slovácko region will be given space to show everyone how folk culture is cultivated in their region. This time you will see clubs, ensembles, music and individual performers from Čejkovice.
Adult ensembles from all over Haná Slovácko will come to present their dance and singing groups with the theme "Lamentations" and on Sunday afternoon you will also see the programme of the neighbouring ethnographic region. This time the ethnographic area in Krumvír will be full of ensembles from the Dolňácko region of Kyjov.
The Sunday festival day will end, as usual, with a musical ensemble closely linked to folk music, but adding a different element to this genre, for example in the form of special instruments, arrangements, or the band members themselves, who are exceptional soloists in their field of music. In this year's edition of the festival Kraj bezze shínu, the world music band Banda from Slovakia will come.
Children's handicraft workshops with folklore themes, the awarding of the title "Master of Traditional Handicraft Production of the South Moravian Region" from the hands of the Governor of the South Moravian Region.
