For all those who want to learn more about viticulture and winemaking in the Podluží region and at the same time are interested in visiting the cellar alleys and original vineyard tracks unknown to tourists with a certified guide, as well as visiting the museums of the Old Quarter in Lužice and the Viticulture Museum in Mikulčice and finally taste top wines and specialities made from wine and grapes in the pleasant environment of a modern winery.

Programme:

Meet at 18.00 in the premises of the Mikulčice Information Centre. Return at approximately 21.00.

• Explanation of the current shape of the wine-growing regions of the Czech Republic and their relationship to world viticulture.
• Visit to the Starý kvartýr Museum with an exhibition of local costumes and traditional furnishings of a typical Podluží farmhouse, including period equipment
• Guided tasting with a tour of modern winery facilities, tasting of 5-7 samples of archive wines including an explanation of winemaking and cellar management.
• Tasting of wine and grape specialties - wine jelly, wine sour, grape musts and truffles filled with wine jelly
• Visit to the cellar alley "Tešické budy". Demonstration of different architectural approaches
  in the construction of the cellar as part of the rich folk architecture of the Slovácko region.
• Vineyard tour in the "Kratiny" and "Kněžská" wine tracks. Demonstration of different methods of vineyard cutting, acquaintance with the year-round maintenance of vineyards, including methods of treatment against diseases and pests.
• Visiting the cellar district "U chaty", the possibility of seeing the daily work of local winemakers. The cellar district contains several streets of cellars, of different sizes and designs.
• Tour of the unique Wine Museum in Mikulčice.
