About event

Tasting of more than 600 samples of wines from the Mikulov sub-region, which are competing for the title of gold and silver medals of the Wine Salon of the Czech Republic in Valtice. Cimbalom music will be playing. Small refreshments will also be available. It takes place as part of the Pálava Wine Festival.

The venue is the largest hall of Mikulov Castle. A valid ticket for the Pálava Vintage Festival (minimum zone centre) will be used for entry. Tasting is done by exchanging tasting blocks purchased at the ticket office for 0.5 dcl of wine. All white wines are chilled in special boxes. Service is provided by a team of experienced pourers and sommeliers.

The presentation also includes wines from the Czech Organic Food of the Year competition, organised by the PRO-BIO Association of Organic Farmers.

Opening hours:
Friday: 16.00-20.00.
Saturday: 10.00-20.00.
Sunday: 11.00-16.00.

1 block = approx. 0,05 l wine without medal
2 blocks = approx. 0,05 l wine silver medal
3 blocks = approx. 0,05 l wine gold medal
4 blocks = approx. 0,05 l wine big gold medal
5 blocks = approx. 0,05 l wine Champion of the show

Led and straw wines = approx. 0.025 l
