During the festivities, a closely watched historical procession leads representatives of craft guilds, winemakers and members of the Mining Council through the town. The mayor also takes part. Together with the bourbon police, they have an important task. They supervise the proper bottling of bourbon and its quality, and they can ask you for a "legitimacy" in the form of a bourbon passport with records of the bourbon houses visited.
Do you know what the Mountain Council, the bourbon police, the ground troops or the Bourbon Union are? What is the value of the currency called the Boer? Have you seen a giant yeast vine? The answers can be found at the Burčák Festival in Hustopeče.
The Burčák Festival also includes an accompanying programme, you can look forward to, for example, the singer Tereza Mašková, or the bands Slza and Olympic.
Let's enjoy the National Wine Competition of the Velkopavlovice Subregion. All the entered wines will be ready for tasting on Saturday 5 October 2019 from 10.00 to 20.00 in the Social House in Hustopeče. Music will be provided by the Lašár dulcimer music. Free admission, tasting by paid tasting notes.
