Další popis

KOLBY winery was founded by Oldřich Drápal in 1997, now the winery is owned by the J&T group. The winery was named after the hillside of the same name, which is located in close proximity to the winery, on the edge of the Pouzdřanská Steppe National Natural Monument. According to written records, the history of vine cultivation on Kolby Hill dates back to the reign of King Přemysl Otakar II, and some findings show that vines may have grown on Kolby as early as the 2nd century. The winery grows 9 white and 3 blue varieties on an area of almost 40 hectares. The winery's flagship varieties are Riesling and Riesling Welsh, while the Burgundian varieties are Pinot Blanc and Chardonnay. Work in the vineyards is mainly carried out by hand in the most gentle way. The winery does not overload the vines and takes care of their health and nutrition all year round. The REISTEN winery was established in 1999 and is located in the traditional wine-growing village of Pavlov in the heart of the Pálava micro-region, where, according to archaeological findings, the history of grape growing dates back to the 3rd century. Today, the winery is a leader on the wine market in the Czech Republic. It produces exclusively high quality wines from hand-harvested, selected grapes grown on 31 hectares of its own vineyards. Vineyard work is carried out in a gentle manner and with the utmost care throughout the growing cycle of the vines so that the bushes thrive and are not overworked. The quality of our wines is based on careful work with varieties that best match the character of the Pálava vineyards and whose clones have been selected on the basis of unique geological research into the soil profile. The winery's flagship varieties are Pinot Blanc, Riesling, Riesling and Sauvignon. These are the ones that best match the soil and climatic profile of the Pálava vineyards. The combination of the warm climate, the extraordinary calcium-rich subsoil, the uniqueness of human labour and the combination of modern and traditional practices produce distinctive wines with an unmistakable character reflecting the specific terroir of Pálava.
