The Královopol Wine Festival is a cultural and social event organized in the spirit of the historical traditions of Královo Pole, with reference to the period of the significant rise of Královo Pole related to the establishment of the Carthusian monastery in the second half of the 14th century and to commemorate its founder, Jan Henry of Luxembourg, a Moravian margrave who made a significant contribution to the development of viticulture in Moravia in the 14th century. These traditions are also the basis for the event's focus on the presentation of various products, bourbons and Moravian wines from the wine sub-regions of the Morava wine region.
