During the festivities, a closely watched historical procession leads through the town, led by representatives of the craft guilds, winemakers and members of the Mining Council. The mayor also takes part. Together with the bourbon police, they have an important task. They ensure that the bourbon is poured properly and that it is of good quality, and they can ask you for 'legitimacy' in the form of a bourbon passport with records of the bourbon houses visited. Do you know what the mountain council, the bourbon police, the land army or the bourbon union are? What is the value of the currency called the Boer? Have you seen a giant wine yeast? You will find the answers at the Burčák Festival in Hustopeče. The festival also includes an accompanying programme full of concerts, performances and bourbon!
