Mr. Filip Halás, oenologist from the U Kostela Winery, will come to us from the Slovak sub-region of Polešovice. Historically, the winery follows the work of the Cistercian monks who established the first vineyards in Polešovice and thus shaped the landscape and local conditions. The first mention of grape growing dates back to 1454. The vineyards in Polešovice Terroir are located in the undulating terrain adjacent to Chřiby. Both light aromatic wines, led by Muscat of Moravia, and wines with a longer growing cycle, such as Riesling or Sylvan Green, thrive here.
