Do you know what are magnums, mountain councils, permisters, bourbon police, underground army, or bourbon union? What is the value of the currency called the Boer? Have you seen a giant wine yeast? Find the answers at the Burčák Festival in Hustopeče.
Recessional event commemorating the wine history of the town, lots of entertainment, competitions, bourbon tasting led by the mayor and the town's conchers or a fair. The three-day celebration of the sweet, stormy drink is accompanied by an unmistakable dose of humour and recession. All this and much more will be brought by the 29th year of the popular Burčák Festival!
And what awaits you?
Thursday's programme will start at 16:00 with local kindergartens, schools and associations. At 19:00 the programme will end with a concert.
At 18:00 on Friday, a welcome fanfare from the town hall will sound and from then on, the bourbon will flow in all the bourbon houses! In addition, Poetika and Richard Müller will be waiting for you on stage.
Saturday will start at 9:00 with a medieval fair. This will be followed by a meeting of the bourbon union at 11:00 and at 13:45 a historical parade will go through the town. Docuku, Barbora Poláková and No Name will then take the stage.
As part of the Burčák festivities, you can also look forward to the National Wine Competition of the Velkopavlovice sub-region. All entered wines will be ready for tasting on Saturday 5 October at 12:00 in the Amande Hotel.
