Welcome to the official presentation of our wines. The Czech Republic produces wines from two viticultural regions: Moravia ("Morava", 96% of vineyard area) and the Bohemia ("Čechy", 4%).
The wine tradition in Moravia dates back to Roman times in the 3rd century AD, while wines from the Bohemia were known and appreciated in Europe during the Middle Ages. A huge improvement has taken place in the quality of Moravian and Czech wines over the past decade bringing them up among the best in central Europe. Moravian and Bohemian white wines have their characteristic spectrum of aromas on the nose, are rich in extractive substances and well-balanced with a typical refreshing acidity. Lately red wines have also come into their own and, thanks to modern technology, are intense and round, but at the same time smooth and velvety while exhibiting their fruity fragrance to the full. Wines from the Czech Republic are sought out by connoisseurs, owing to their original spicy flavours of ripe but not overripe grapes.
