Gotberg Winery is a young company that farms 56 hectares of vineyards planted in the middle of protected areas in the prestigious Popice vineyards opposite Pálava. The winery is involved in the Czech-Austrian project Ecowin - nature protection through the greening of viticulture. The philosophy of the winery is not only modern wine processing and gentle grape growing, but also harmony with nature and respect for natural fauna and flora. This idea is also reflected in the management of the adjacent orchard and sheep farming, but above all in the construction of the winery itself, the above-ground part of which, apart from the connecting materials, is made entirely of wood and glass. At first glance, the winery consists of two buildings, one production and one presentation building, which are connected underground, and even in this connection the presentation part merges into the production. The slight slope of the terrain was used for gravity processing. Especially the above-ground presentation, administration and accommodation part makes the most of the amazing and unobstructed view of the Pálava and the water areas of the New Mill reservoirs. The winery is equipped with the most modern technologies for the gentle processing of grapes, the total possible capacity is up to around 300,000 litres. Groups of up to 20-25 visitors can come to the winery for tastings and have an extraordinary experience, whether in the Diamant tasting room, in the winery's glass-enclosed building or on the sunny terrace and courtyard. Seven double rooms are then available for guests to stay overnight after the tastings. In season, the winery can be visited daily and unannounced between 10am and 5pm.
