The aim is to produce light, dry, harmonious wines with balanced harmonious acidity in the cabinet and late harvest categories. For reds, the aim is to produce dense wines with a distinctive aromatic characteristic for each variety. The new focus is on the production of wines from PIWI varieties, that is, without the use of pesticides in the vineyard. All wines are produced from grapes from our own vineyards. The wines are intended for gastronomy as well as for enjoying with friends. An ancient proverb says: "Wine makes friends".
Establishment
The roots of wine production in the family go back much deeper in history. The Mayer Family Winery produced its first wine in 1972, back then from a vineyard in a leased blind.
The founder was a member of several international wine and viticulture organisations and committees. During this period, for reasons of time, the winery did not develop progressively.
Subsequently, vineyards were then leased and subsequently land was purchased to plant vineyards.
Currently, the family winery manages 2.5 ha of vineyards with about 15,000 bushes and another 2 ha are ready for planting vines.
