Winemaking in Tvarožné Lhota has a tradition since the 17th century. In 1993, the Uřičář family bought a 20 ha farmstead in restitution on a hill called Dúbravka. Previously, this place was famous not only for growing fruit and vines, but also for the painter Antoš Frolka.
Until 2011, 95% of the grapes harvested were sold and the rest was processed into wine for own use. With many investments related to the purchase of new grape processing technology and the renovation of farm buildings, processing of 19 000 kg of grapes began in 2011. The wines are declared as Earthy, and for varieties with a sugar content of more than 20°NM, this figure is recorded on the label for better customer orientation.
Today, the winery only processes grapes from its vineyards, which are planted with a variety of grapes. The original plantings from 1995 in the varietal composition of Müller Thurgau, Riesling, Frankincense were extended in 2003 and 2004 with the addition of Chardonnay, Sauvignon, Sylvanian Green, Pinot Gris, Dornfelder, St.
Although the winery tries to follow the path of tradition, varieties untypical for the Strážnice region, but very attractive to customers, to whom we try to offer the largest possible range, have also been planted. In 2014 and 2016, the vineyard area was further expanded with the addition of Hibernal, Irsai Oliver, Tramín red, Solaris and Kerner.
