The Benešovský family winery produces wines only from its own vineyards, which are planted in the village of Šardice in the Slovenská vinous subregion. The production of high quality wines begins in the vineyard, so we place great emphasis from the very beginning when establishing vineyards on the appropriate selection of rootstocks and clones for our chosen grape varieties, so that the harmony between the variety and the soil of the vineyard is maintained.
Establishment
In our vineyards we have planted 90% of the area of white varieties - Hibernal, Chardonnay, Pálava, Pinot Gris, Riesling, Sauvignon, Tramín, Veltliner and 10% of the area of red varieties - Cabernet Moravia and Pinot Noir.
The vineyards are planted in the wine-growing village of Šardice. It is located at an altitude of 220-235 m with a south-southwest orientation. In the Padělky vineyard area there is chernozem, into which we plant red varieties, and loamy-sandy soils containing soda-lime resins, in which we grow white varieties.
