Family winery of two young cousins who have been influenced by Moravian wine since birth. Both worked in their fathers' winery. Today they have decided to go their own way and produce pure, fruity, fresh, varietally characteristic Moravian wines with an optimal price/performance ratio. In the offer you can also find modern Frizzante carbonated with natural CO2 from grapes or Bag in Box. The spacious Zajíci resort offers comfortable accommodation in air-conditioned rooms and bungalows, a wine cellar, wine shop, restaurant, stellplatz and swimming pool. Corporate events and weddings are popular here.

Founders of the family winery ZAJÍCI ZE ZAJEČÍ
What else can happen when two young boys, cousins, living in the middle of South Moravia, in Rakvice, meet wine, vineyards, grapes and their processing from the beginning of their lives?
THEY START A WINERY!!!
A young winery for the young. A winery that is not afraid of experiments, new technologies and processes, but still recognizes the highest quality Moravian grapes as the highest standard.
Pavel Makuch was born to Martin Makuch and Lubka Makuchová (née Vajbarová) in 1995. The first contact with wine and the vineyard was provided by their grandmother Vajbarová. This was followed by his father and uncle who led him to wine from a young age and he felt at home in the vineyard and especially among the machines. He was able to master them at the age of 10. As a child he was still a paid temporary worker in weeding or mulching. But he also remembers working with a hoe...
He graduated from the Secondary Vocational School of Forestry and Fishing Bzenec Přívoz. Then he started working and gaining experience in Vajbar Winery. Here, under the guidance of his father, he went through the entire production process, from the cellar to the distribution of wines to work in the vineyard. In 2013, he planted his first vineyard, which he also completely plotted with soil blocks, clips, twisters. He learned how to plan and apply chemical treatments to the vines, plan winter pruning and green work. Since 2015, he has been farming the vineyards himself, including supervising and assigning temporary workers. He divides his free time between hunting and his one-year-old daughter.
Bc. Jiří Vajbar was born to Bronislav and Martina Vajbar in 1998. His first experiences with wine date back to his childhood. Sips sipped unobtrusively behind their parents' backs were often balanced by hard work in the vineyard and cellar. He was always drawn to the cellar more than to the outdoors. He made his first wine, under his father's supervision, in the 8th grade of elementary school. And he was no slouch - 500 litres of the Neuburg variety, still from the old vineyard. He picked the grapes himself, milled them, pressed them...
He graduated from the Secondary Wine School in Valtice and subsequently completed his bachelor studies at the Mendel University in Brno - Faculty of Agriculture in Lednice, majoring in viticulture. A great role model is his father and his story, who managed to work himself, without any external resources, from a small winemaker with a barrel to today's recognized medium-sized winemaker with a huge background of vineyards and production. His goal is to produce excellent, varietally distinctive wines from Moravian vineyards and perhaps inject a little more of that youthful esprit to attract his peers to the wines.
