Vinum Moravicum a.s. is a wine company founded in 2005 in Bzenec. This picturesque South Moravian town and its surroundings are known for their rich wine tradition. The geological conditions, the local microclimate and the first-class soil fertility create conditions for growing top grape cultivars, which are transformed during processing into quality varietal wines with an unmistakable character. The winery operates in a complex of historic, up to 300-year-old cellars, which you will find in the heart of the town of Bzenec.
Pálava was cultivated by Ing. Josef Veverka by crossing the varieties Gewürztraminer and Müller Thurgau. Probably the best results are achieved mainly in the Mikulov subregion, in the vicinity of the municipalities of Perná, Pavlov or Bulhary, then in Lechovice, Popice or Čejkovice. Pálava is often automatically perceived as a sweet wine, i.e. with a higher residual sugar but this is not always the rule. In the dry version we discover the charm and beauty of this variety.
