About winemaker
The Prath winery is located in the Slovácko region in the village of Josefov near Hodonín. It farms vineyards of about 10 hectares in one of the best locations in the local area, in the vineyards Kukvička and Podkovné. The emphasis is mainly on the quality of the grapes and very gentle vineyard management within the framework of integrated production. The company focuses on the production of top quality varietal and quality wines, ice, straw and onion wines. White wines are aged in acacia and oak barrels, stainless steel containers, red wines exclusively in oak barrels.

Merlot, čti „merló“, je významná odrůda pocházející z Francie, která je jednou z vůbec nejstarších odrůd na světě. U nás se pěstuje především na Moravě, nejvíce rozšířená je v Mikulovské a Slovácké podoblasti.
