The Habán cellars were built in Velké Bílovice four centuries ago by the Habán, a peaceful people who gained respect in Moravia as skilled craftsmen and excellent winemakers. Thanks to their heritage, the Habán cellars are still producing unique wines with a unique character - wines that have a soul. Just like four centuries ago.
The variety was bred by the director of the wine school in Klosterneuburg in Austria, Dr. F. Zweigelt in 1922 and its expansion to other countries was credited after the Second World War to Dr. Lenz Moser.
