Thanks to its wide range and quality of wines, the Rauš winery has gained a good reputation and popularity among Czech and foreign wine lovers. With our wines we participate in domestic and international competitions, where we regularly reap success. We are most appreciative of the gold medal from the international competition FESTWINE 2015 for the Author's sparkling wine, which achieved the best rating in the entire competition. King of Wines 2013 for Pinot Gris 2011 and many others.
The variety was cultivated in Velké Pavlovice in 1960 by Ing. Jaroslav Horák from Frankovka and Saint Laurence. It was named in honour of Ch. K. André, the founder of the Association for Vine and Fruit Breeding in Brno. This is one of the reasons why we can find it especially in the Velkopavlovice subregion, however, interesting André wines are definitely also produced in the Slovácko and Mikulov regions.
