Vinařství Turek & Šiška We are a young small family winery. Our vineyards are located in the best tracks of the wine-growing village of Velké Pavlovice. When cultivating the vineyards we try to use as little chemistry as possible. We pick our grapes by hand and buy other varieties from grape producers. Every year we select the best grapes from the Mikulov, Znojmo and Velka Pavlovice regions. We process the harvest gently in our own cellar farm using modern 'controlled fermentation' technology. We produce wines using a combination of traditional and state-of-the-art processes. Our aim is to produce quality wines of white, red and rosé varieties. Since winemaking and the work associated with it is our hobby, we want people to enjoy our wine and drink it for pleasure and health. You can see this for yourself when you choose and taste some of our wines. You can also visit our cellars and sit with friends while tasting wines. We can also arrange refreshments or accommodation. Tasting of wine samples is always possible by agreement (minimum number - 6 people, maximum - 20).
Pálava was cultivated by Ing. Josef Veverka by crossing the varieties Gewürztraminer and Müller Thurgau. Probably the best results are achieved mainly in the Mikulov subregion, in the vicinity of the municipalities of Perná, Pavlov or Bulhary, then in Lechovice, Popice or Čejkovice. Pálava is often automatically perceived as a sweet wine, i.e. with a higher residual sugar but this is not always the rule. In the dry version we discover the charm and beauty of this variety.
