The company Vinařství Procházka Valtice was founded in 2000, before that it produced wines for a small circle of friends and friends, also for their own consumption. Until 2005, we farmed 6.5 ha of vineyards, to date on an area of 45 ha of vineyards. The Procházka Valtice winery produces mostly quality and appellation wines. The vineyards are located in the vicinity of the town of Valtice. Most of the wines are processed using the latest technology and are therefore not uniform. Each wine produced is beautifully specific. The wines are delivered to the whole Czech Republic.
The variety was cultivated in Velké Pavlovice in 1960 by Ing. Jaroslav Horák from Frankovka and Saint Laurence. It was named in honour of Ch. K. André, the founder of the Association for Vine and Fruit Breeding in Brno. This is one of the reasons why we can find it especially in the Velkopavlovice subregion, however, interesting André wines are definitely also produced in the Slovácko and Mikulov regions.
