The village of Kobylí is home to an unconventional family winery run by brothers Libor and Petr Vajbar. Vajbar Kobylí winery, which has managed not only with its delicious wines, but also with the modern architecture of its own operation to appeal to many wine lovers. Intertwined here is the story of two brothers who, in the heart of the village, have created a unique wine building of several interconnected ancestral wine cellars and enriched it with a completely new architecturally bold element of a timeless modern wine house, which is certainly worth noticing and a short visit.
Pálava was cultivated by Ing. Josef Veverka by crossing the varieties Gewürztraminer and Müller Thurgau. Probably the best results are achieved mainly in the Mikulov subregion, in the vicinity of the municipalities of Perná, Pavlov or Bulhary, then in Lechovice, Popice or Čejkovice. Pálava is often automatically perceived as a sweet wine, i.e. with a higher residual sugar but this is not always the rule. In the dry version we discover the charm and beauty of this variety.
