About winemaker

We present you a small family winery operating in Velké Bílovice. Its history dates back to the early 20th century, but we have been intensively involved since 1993. All vineyards are cultivated on the land in the cadastre of Velké Bílovice with an area of 8ha. As part of sustainable development, we have been involved in integrated production since 1999 and have been authorised to use its trademark since 2003. Integrated production is based on the relationship between man and nature. It is farming that produces higher quality crops in a way that does not burden the environment. We strive to harmonise all the components of the vineyard ecosystem (soil, plants, animals, vines and humans). In treating vineyards, we prefer biological products to chemical ones in order to restore the natural biodiversity of plants and animals. We produce high quality and distinctive wines, which are aged on our own wine yeasts (Mother of Wine) in oak barrels for up to 24 months by simply stirring without SO2 concentration. We encourage new taste sensations and bouquet in the wine and its ability to take in oxygen, and we try to teach the wine to live and work with it.

Basic characteristics of wine

Pinot Blanc was formerly called Burgundy White. However, after the pressure of France to change the name, all these wines were renamed to Pinot, including the Burgundian whites. This variety is widespread in all six of our sub-areas, however, it can be found extensively in the Litoměřice and Slovácko regions, and it also achieves excellent results in the Znojmo and Mikulov regions.
