The Stejskal Winery is a family winery focused on selling boutique wines made from its own production as well as from the production of quality vineyards around Znojmo. The winery is located in Vrbovec in the Znojmo region. The wines are produced using the classical method without the use of adjuvants that would in any way affect the varietal character of the wines. The winery's efforts are aimed at creating a completely original type of wine. During production, precise and gentle agronomic interventions are carried out from the very beginning of the grapes in the vineyard. Care is taken to process the grapes gently and to ferment smoothly, cleanly and evenly at low temperatures with minimal access to air. These requirements promote purity of flavour and produce high varietal aromas.
The Kolby winery is located in the village of Pouzdřany.The high calorific value clay sprays and the unique microclimate create a typical steppe terroir that is distinctly and uniquely reflected in the flavours and aromas of all the wines. These range from young, light wines with fresh acidity to mature, full-bodied and mineral wines. According to written records, the history of vine cultivation on Kolby Hill dates back to the reign of King Přemysl Otakar II, and some findings show that vines may have been growing on Kolby as early as the 2nd century.
The flagship varieties of the winery are Riesling and Riesling Welsh, while the Burgundy varieties are
Pinot blanc and Chardonnay.
