The most popular TOP wine destination in 2023 is Bukovanský mlýn

This year's silver destination is the BOHEMIA SEKT Visitor Centre in Stary Plzenec, and the bronze is the Dvůr pod starýma horama from Boršice u Buchlovic. The National Wine Centre Award went to Habánský sklep Vinařství Lacina in Velké Pavlovice.

For the third year a special category was announced in which the targets with the title CHAMPION competed against each other. That is, those targets that in previous years won three times medal awards. The winner of this category and the title of TOP wine destination CHAMPION of 2023 was the winery Château Valtice - Vinné sklepy Valtice.

TOP Wine Destination is an online directory of interesting places that offer their visitors a combination of wine and experience. They can be wineries, cellar alleys, wine bars, wine guesthouses or even restaurants where they work professionally with wine. The guide currently includes 234 destinations scattered across the Czech Republic, literally from the Beskydy Mountains to Sokolov and from Šumava to the Krkonoše Mountains, and is gradually being renewed. The guidebook is written by a team of eleven expert guarantors based on their personal experience with the place. You can recognize a TOP wine destination directly in the field by its logo sticker.

"In the booklet we map interesting wine destinations not only in traditional Moravian regions, but also in towns across the country and in the Bohemia wine region. In fact, this year's winner is proof that we can find an interesting destination combining wine and experience even outside the wine regions. The Bohemia Sekt Centrum welcomes 10,000 visitors a year, who admire, for example, the interactive exhibition newly supplemented by a manual decanting line," said Petr Psotka, director of the Wine Institute. The Wine Institute is the organiser of the TOP wine destination project.
