Moravian and Bohemian wines brought 35 medals from the prestigious Parisian exhibition

Press release from March 8, 2010

For the 16th time Paris hosted the prestigious international wine competition Vinalies Internationales. Once again Moravian and Bohemian wines achieved great success when they gained a total of 9 gold and 26 silver medals.

Twenty-one commissions composed of the top world enologists, expert journalists and sommeliers have been assessing for one week a total of 3485 wine samples from all over the world, including a hundred of wines from the Czech Republic. The common participation of wines from the Czech Republic, including transport, was organised by the National Wine Centre with a support of the Winegrowers’ Fund of CR.

Moravian and Bohemian wines in Paris won a total of 9 gold and 26 silver medals, this means that the percentage success put the Czech Republic among the most successful exhibiting countries of the entire competition.
