Moravian and Czech wines will be presented during Europe's largest trade fair ProWein

This year, already for the ninth time, Moravian and Bohemian winemakers will present their wines and wineries during the world wine trade fair ProWein, which takes place from 23rd to 25th of March 2014 traditionally in Düsseldorf, Germany. The presentation of our wines is funded by the Wine Fund of the Czech Republic with the participation of the exhibiting wineries. The organization is managed by cooperation of the Wine Fund and the National Wine Centre.

At ProWein we will present: the largest wine producer in the Czech Republic - BOHEMIA SEKT; one of our most progressive wineries emphasizing not only high quality wine, but also attractive design – NOVÉ VINAŘSTVÍ; popular and traditional Templářské sklepy Čejkovice, the family winery Petr Bunža, the family winery Vinofol and Zámecké vinařství Bzenec - triple holder of Champion of the Wine Salon of the Czech Republic.

"Due to the limited production capacity of our viticulture it is worth noticing any ambition to succeed with Moravian and Bohemian wines in highly competitive international markets. After years of building the good name of our winery at international competitions, trade shows are another way to get ahead in foreign markets," commented the participation of our winemakers Mr. Pavel Večeřa from the Wine Fund, which organizes common presentation of the Czech Republic and who is responsible for the presentation of our wines together with representatives of the wineries and the National Wine Centre.

New this year at the Czech Republic exhibition stand will be a separate free tasting zone for Moravian wines. Each of the participating wineries will present wines which cover a wide spectrum from dry to sweet; white, rosé and red wines; and sparkling wines as well.

This year visitors can once again look forward to supervised tastings at the exhibition stand of Wines from Moravia, Wines from Bohemia and which traditionally attract a lot of interest.

23rd March 14:00 - The best of the Wine Salon of the Czech Republic - tasting 8 wine samples from hundred of the best wines from Moravia and Bohemia.

24th March 11:00 - Wines from the Czech Republic – a tasting of typical varieties from the Bohemia and Moravia wine regions.

Trade Fair ProWein is one of the largest and most important wine fairs in the world and this year it is being held for the twentieth time. This year again slightly larger participation of exhibitors is expected, up to 4,500 from about 50 countries and more than 40,000 expert visitors from around the world. About 80 percent of participating companies come from abroad. ProWein thus offers a valuable cross-section of wines on the global market and within one area indicates the direction the world winery is going. Every year there is also available about 1000 wines in the free tasting zone, among which the Riesling from the VINOFOL winery, the Pinot Gris from Templářské sklepy Čejkovice, the Pinot Blanc and the Traminer from Zámecké vinařství Bzenec were chosen by the jury. This year, the fair ProWein has a new separate hall (hall 7.1) for producers of champagne, called "Champagne Lounge". At more than 300 square meters, a total of 25 champagne producers will be presented.

Vinofol, s.r.o. / Vinofol, Ltd.
www.vinofol.cz
VINOFOL started as a family business of brothers Pavel and Richard Foltýn in 1992. The company operates from the wine-growing village of Novosedly, where people have been growing vine since 1552.
One of the major strengths of the firm is the location of its 120 hectares of vineyards divided among four different wine-producing municipalities – Mikulov, Novosedly, Nový Přerov and Pavlov. Of course, every municipality has different soils and sometimes even weather. This provides for a more colorful and interesting offer of wines.
However, quality of the wines is what matters most and that is where the focus of the operation is. VINOFOL's philosophy is to observe latest trends of production and gastronomy. On the other hand, VINOFOL never forgets the vast experience of winegrowers of old, who could not rely on modern technologies and produced quality wines using their ingeniousness and understanding the potential of the soil they were working. Choosing wine varieties best suited for the given terroir and storing wines in wooden barrels of French oak are good examples of such approach. VINOFOL is taking the right path, as evidenced by various awards from both domestic and foreign shows. Growing interest in VINOFOL's products among consumers, however, remains the brightest evidence of the quality of its wines.
