MAKRO Winemaker of the Year

KRÁL VÍN České republiky (the King of Wines of the Czech Republic) is one of the most important wine contests taking place in the Czech Republic. The Royal Wine tastings, the KING OF WINES Tour and the Wine Harvest with the KING OF WINES are part of the largest wine project in this country.

The authors created their texts and information with the aim of being the most comprehensible to the lay public, but at the same time to be beneficial to the wine professional. To aid the attractive presentation the portal makes use of the wide range of possibilities and trends of current web design, like mildly educational and entertaining videos, interactive elements (maps, search engines, etc.) or info-graphics. Extensive information on Saint Martin’s wines, rosé and VOC wines, for which it was previously necessary to search on a range of individual pages, has also found its place on the portal. All this means that visitors to this site can access all the information about wines from Moravia and Bohemia in a well arranged manner and in one place.
The new structure of the web offers a category <a href="index.php?option=com_content&amp;view=featured&amp;Itemid=676&amp;lang=en">Our wines</a>, where the visitor can find out all about the wine regions, grape varieties, wine production, tastings and history. Equally he or she will find here the already mentioned categories on Saint Martin’s wines, <a href="index.php?option=com_content&amp;view=category&amp;layout=blog&amp;id=267&amp;Itemid=700&amp;lang=en">rosé wines</a> and <a href="index.php?option=com_content&amp;view=article&amp;id=7168&amp;Itemid=715&amp;lang=en">VOC wines</a>, information on matching wine with food and much else besides. Another category <a href="index.php?option=com_content&amp;view=featured&amp;Itemid=745&amp;lang=en">Events and news</a> offers a very useful and much used outline on forthcoming wine events in the regions, a map of events and further information. <a href="index.php?option=com_content&amp;view=featured&amp;Itemid=1202&amp;lang=en">Wine tours</a> offer complete information for interested parties on oeno-tourism, Our winemakers, on the other hand, gives a comprehensive list of winemakers and wineries, as well as information on our winemakers’ successes in international competitions. Then there is a category <a href="index.php?option=com_content&amp;view=featured&amp;Itemid=788&amp;lang=en">About us</a>, where information on the Wine Fund, current legislation, wine publications and many other matters are all clearly summed up.
