Our wines achieved exceptionally great results at the 20th anniversary edition of the Israeli Terravina MIWSC, the largest wine competition in the Middle East.
The International Grand Champion of the competition and the winner of the sparkling wine category was the bottle fermented Bohemia Sekt Prestige Chardonnay brut 2021 batch 22041C (93.67 points), which also became the most successful wine from the Czech Republic.
In a competition of more than 1000 wines from all over the world, Bohemia Sekt also became the most successful winery in the competition when its morewon a total of 3 Grand Gold Medals (in addition to the champion, Bohemia Sekt Louis Girardot brut and Bohemia Sekt Prestige demi sec), 3 Gold and 6 Silver!
The Grand Champion Trophy title went to the Israeli Merlot Reserve 2011 from the family winery Jascala of the Kriesh brothers from Galilee, who also won the red wine and kosher wine categories.
Wine Cellars Lechovice won the 104 category (under USD 27) and the Grand Gold Medal with Pálava 2021 berry selection (93.20 points), and two gold for the straw Cabernet Sauvignon 2021 and Riesling 2022, and the U Kapličky winery was twicet gold with wines from the Dalibor series - Tramín red TBA selection of bulbs 2023 and Pálava selection of berries 2023, and the family Josef Dufek's winery from Svatobořice-Mistřín got gold for the young Pinot Gris 2024 berry selection.
Colleagues from Slovakia also succeeded very well. Ovocinár Martin Hrehor won in the fruit wine category, where he won the Grand Gold Medal for the Wine of Black Currants "Letná noc" 2024 (93.17 points) and the famous Tokaj winery of Mr. and Mrs. Ostrozovic has two gold medals for Tokajský výber 4 putňový 2008 and Lipovina Natural Sweet 2023.
