Establishment
Since its birth in 2007, the family winery PROQIN has focused on the production of selected still wines and classic sparkling wines by the bottle fermentation method in the wine-growing village of Velké Němčice. The Prokeš family has been producing wine here for several generations. They cultivate their vines on south-west facing vineyards with a calcareous subsoil and humic-loamy soil type in the unique Punty route. The production of wines from Velké Němčice for sparkling wines - classic sparkling wines by fermentation in the bottle - has a rich history and tradition. Wines and sparkling wines are produced in small batches for selected customers. PROQIN actively cooperates with the Mendel University in Brno in the research and development of new products such as grape seed oil and low-alcohol sparkling wines. In the cultivation of vines, training and wine maturation, it seeks to find and bring new ways of viticultural techniques and wine-making technologies, but as much as possible in harmony with nature and care for the environment. An attraction during visits, tastings and presentations is sabrage, the art of chopping the throats of sparkling wines with a sabre, glass or other curious objects. Why PROQIN? Because the young winery PROQIN from Moravia aims to contribute to changing the style and trends in wine and bubbly drinking in our country. Their life credo is "NON MULTA SED MULTUM - LESS IS MORE". So it is better to have a glass or two of quality wine and classic sparkling wine from Moravia with lunch or dinner than to pour a barrel wine of unknown origin and quality down your throat...
