The family winery specializes in the production of wines for gastronomic establishments and wine bars. The production is located in the former farmhouse right next to the vineyards and has undergone a major reconstruction in recent years. On the occasion of its 20th anniversary, the winery launched its first sparkling wine, produced using the traditional bottle fermentation method. With the arrival of a new family generation at the winery, not only the signature wines have changed, but also the winery's logo. The archive cellar, where groups of up to 15 guests can book a tasting, can be found in the beautiful location of the Stráž wine cellars.
The variety was cultivated in Velké Pavlovice in 1960 by Ing. Jaroslav Horák from Frankovka and Saint Laurence. It was named in honour of Ch. K. André, the founder of the Association for Vine and Fruit Breeding in Brno. This is one of the reasons why we can find it especially in the Velkopavlovice subregion, however, interesting André wines are definitely also produced in the Slovácko and Mikulov regions.
