At the foot of the Chřibý Mountains, on the edge of the picturesque village of Skalka, you will find the Skalák Wine Cellars, whose history dates back to the 1970s. This magical place on the edge of Moravian Tuscany offers exceptional facilities for weddings, corporate events, private celebrations and holiday stays. The surrounding area is suitable for both road and mountain biking, hiking, visiting castles and chateaus. The most frequent destinations of tourists are various rock formations or castles in Chřiby. The demanding ones can choose the highest point of Chřiby Brdo (587m above sea level) with a stone lookout tower as a destination.
Sauvignon belongs among the most popular three white wines together with the Chardonnay and Riesling varieties. It is assumed that it comes from the French region of Bordeaux or from the Loire region. The most typical Sauvignons can be found in the Znojmo or Mikulov region.
