In September 2013, the first year of the Kunětice Vintage Festival took place. It can be said that it was the "zero" year of the event, which belongs to the autumn diversification and also to the colour of the Kunětická hora castle. From the information from insiders we learned that in the past vineyards were planted on the southern slopes.
It was a difficult test for the organizers, because the success of such an event depends on the weather. Although the autumn of 2013 was pleasant, warm, just for the time of preparation and on the day of the event, the weather really "got out of hand". Rain, wind, cold - these accompanied us on the Friday before the vintage and on Saturday morning, when the vintage started. However, people's curiosity prevailed and despite the bad weather, the vintage was a success and crowds of visitors came to taste the best wines from Moravia and Bohemia.
It can be said that the vintage stuck in people's minds and last year they even wondered if and when there would be a vintage on Kunětická hora again. So far, the record year was the 3rd edition (2015), when the attendance was really impressive - almost 4,500 visitors.
The most important feature of any event of this kind, including the Vintage Festival, is the accompanying programme, which the organisers try to prepare as varied as possible so that visitors of all ages can enjoy themselves. We are not only referring to the music programme, which always attracts, but also to the rich activities for children in the dedicated "children's zone", where sports attractions and, for example, painting are always prepared for them, as well as a rich craft market for all.
We have managed to organize the past years also thanks to the support of our partners, who have supported the organizers to the greatest extent possible, and in return, they have been able to ensure the promotion of their brand to the greatest extent possible through a massive media and advertising campaign.
We want to make the Kunětice Vintage Festival a cultural experience with history, so this year we are also preparing this unique event in the area between Hradec Králové and Pardubice. We are looking forward to meeting everyone who was impressed by the Kunětice Vintage Festival.
