Great-grandfather Jaštík discovered the magic of the vineyard and the pleasure of making his own wine 100 years ago. He planted a vineyard in Vacenovice, in the heart of the Dolňácko region of Kyjov, and made his first wine from it. Much has changed since then, but the family tradition has remained. Now the main varieties of Jaštík Winery include Chardonnay, Aurelius, Pálava, Hibernal, Sauvignon, Dornfelder and Zweigeltrebe.
Establishment
Grandfather Jaštík did not let go of the tradition and planted a vineyard where the vines of the Jaštík Winery currently grow. Father Jaštík continued the wine heritage and was one of the first in Vacenovice to plant a vineyard on the Rhine-Hessian line, i.e. with wire at the posts. He is still lovingly tending the vineyards at the age of 79.
In 2004 we cleared out the old vineyards and planted new ones. The tradition of viticulture has been in the family for the third generation and the winery farms 2.5 hectares of vineyards in the Vacenovice cadastre.
Our small family winery specializes in the production of wine only from our own grapes. We let the taste of our wine, a unique and unmistakable product, stand out thanks to modern practices and trends in our wine cellar. These aspects are combined with the tradition of viticulture that we pride ourselves on.
The vineyard tract of the Vineyard, with southern and south-eastern exposure, is enveloped by loamy sandy soil. The dry climate of the nearby 'Moravian Sahara' and the dense planting are an ideal combination for obtaining grapes of the highest quality.
