Vinoforum is a prestigious international wine competition which has taken place in a variety of countries of central Europe since 1991.
The aim of the “VINOFORUM “ contest is the raising the profile of this most noble of beverages – wine – and to compare the wines from middle Europe with those from the rest of the world with their diverse climatic and soil conditions and produced using a variety of different technologies. It rotates through the countries of the central-European region, including the Czech Republic.
In previous years it has been held in Modra (Slovakia), Maribor (Slovenia), Graz (Austria), Znojmo (Czech Republic), Pezinok (Slovakia), Prešov (Slovakia), Ptuj (Slovenia), Lednice-Valtice area (Czech Republic), on the island of Krk (Croatia), in Prague (Czech Republic, 2001), Bratislava (Slovak Republic, 2002), Valtice (Czech Republic, 2003), Pardubice (Czech Republic, 2007); further for example in Ostrava (Czech Republic, 2010), Krynica-Zdroj (Poland, 2011), Maribor (Slovenia, 2012), Pardubice (Czech Republic, 2013) and in Trenčín (Slovakia, 2014)
